The past month with Binxy has been nothing short of an adventure, filled with new routines, surprises, and plenty of laughs. Now at the ripe age of six months, she's settling in, and we’re both learning the quirks and perks of living together. She’s even been a little superstar wherever we go, whether it’s the restaurant or just around the neighbourhood, she takes it all in stride.
Meeting Binxy: Command Central and Confidence Boosts
When Binxy first strutted in, she was all nerves wide eyes and cautious steps. But once she realized she was in good hands, the learning began. Now, she’s got quite the skill set! Sit? Nailed it. Lie down? Perfect form. Give paw? She’s a pro. And let’s not forget “go down,” which she does with the flair of a tiny diva. Watching her little face light up with pride every time she gets it right? Pure gold.
Making Friends with Winnie, Her Maltipoo Partner in Crime
Then there’s Winnie, her new bestie and fellow troublemaker a sweet Maltipoo from our apartment block. These two are like peas in a pod, romping around in the garden together. Winnie’s got the “outdoor bathroom” thing down, and I’m hoping Binxy will catch on soon. Fingers crossed that peer pressure does the trick because my carpet would be very grateful!
Spa Days and the First Bath Experience
Binxy’s first bath was quite the event! Although it’s safe to say she was a little wary at first, she quickly relaxed and became her calm, well-behaved self. She’s now a pro, especially when it comes to grooming. Every day, she loves the attention during her brushing sessions and behaves like an absolute angel. There’s something so endearing about the way she just sits, lets me brush her, and revels in the pampering she really knows how to make the most of her spa time!
Our Halloween Pumpkin Shenanigans
Halloween was a laugh-and-a-half. Binxy and I went all out with matching pumpkin costumes. I mean, what’s cuter than a poodle in a pumpkin suit? We turned plenty of heads, got smiles from everyone, and made quite the impression! Binxy loved it, though she strutted her stuff like she owned the holiday. It was a perfect way to celebrate our first festive occasion together.
